Application
Before application of topcoat PST-1 Stov Enamel do all necessary pretreatment of the Job. For MS Surface, remove grease, oil and other contamination by using degreasing agent. Blast cleans the surface for heavy rusting. Use de-rusting chemicals to clean the surface. Phosphating and passiviation should be done. Apply TC Yellow Zinc Chrome Primer or Red Oxide Zinc Chromate Primer. Stove or Air-dry above primer coat. Them remove the excess coating of primer and get 10 – 15 micron DFT. Apply second coat of TC Primer surface Grey or surfacer Grey-green (Stoving or Air drying type) Again remove excess coat. Fill up the putty if necessary. Proper curing of all primer coats and putties essential before application of ST-1 Stov Enamel to get proper adhesion.
Stir the ST-1 Stov Enamel thoroughly reduce the viscosity of paint by using TC/ST-102 thinner to 25-20 sec.
Stoving of the top coat at 120°C for 30 minutes. For stipple finish keep the viscosity 30-35 sec by B 4 Cup & apply at very low pressure to get std. Pattern.
After using the paint close the container immediately to avoid the solvent losses and moisture absorption in material. Do not apply in humid condition, during raining or mist and fog or at very low temperature.
